Review taken from Alternative Control, written by Thomas Pizzola

Liquor Baron’s most recent EP features seven songs in about 10 minutes, and this is all they need to state their purposes and clobber you over the head with their grotty sound.

“Thin Blue Line” is the type of anti-cop anthem that would make crust punks and N.W.A. equally proud, while “Downfall” is a brief, brutal slice of lo-fi grindcore. “Viking Or Victim” rages hard and fast before ending on a slower, though no less powerful, riff. “Silence” is a violent shit-storm that builds to an epic sweet, and apocalyptic, hard rock riff. “Price Of Progress” is single minded hardcore in the best possible way, while their theme song lays out their party-angry philosophy and threatens to flatten hipsters in the pit. Of course, to these guys, “hipsters” could mean well-meaning peace punks. They close with a cover of the Circle Jerks, “Deny Everything,” where lead venom spitter Dennis M. sounds more pissed off than Keith Morris ever could be.

This is a great first salvo from a new hardcore band that shows great promise. Hopefully, they can keep it together to grace, or is that bother, us with more music in the future. It’s beautifully ugly slice of vitriol.

And they say nothing good comes out of Stafford.

CD comes with a grim as fuck cover and lyrics sheet, hand cut and stuffed by yours truly The run with this cover and liner notes is limited to 50, so you nerds better get on this.
